This wine is produced by the award-winning Lúcia Freitas, who now runs her grandfather’s small family estate. Grapes are grown in Dão in Northern Portugal, one of the country’s oldest established wine regions known for its elegant reds. Lúcia’s vines, first planted in 1985, meander down a hillside with a gorgeous view of Serra de Estrela, the largest mountain in continental Portugal. Each harvest is hand-picked at perfect ripeness.
